Mark R. Stauffer

Mark R. Stauffer

President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director

Mr. Stauffer has served as Chief Executive Officer since January 2015 and has served as Orion Group Holdings’ President since February of 2014. Prior to this, Mr. Stauffer served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2007 to 2014, and as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1999, when he joined the Company, to 2007. Mr. Stauffer also served as Secretary from 2004 until 2007. Prior to joining Orion, from 1986 to 1999, Mr. Stauffer served in various positions of increasing responsibility at Coastal Towing, Inc., including Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Stauffer is a Certified Public Accountant. The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) has designated Mr. Stauffer as a Governance Fellow.

Austin Shanfelter

Austin J. Shanfelter

Interim Chief Operating Officer, and Director

Mr. Shanfelter has served as Interim Chief Operating Officer since March 2019. Mr. Shanfelter has extensive experience over a 35-year career as a specialty contractor, particularly in labor and field management. Mr. Shanfelter formerly owned a specialty construction company, was a Division President and Chief Operating Officer of a public company, and was President and Chief Executive Officer of MasTec, Inc. (NYSE: MTZ) from 2001 to 2007. He has served on Orion’s Board of Directors since 2007 and is a past President of the Power and Communication Contractors Association (PCAA) where he has been a member for over 26 years. The National Association of Corporate Directors has designated Mr. Shanfelter a Governance Fellow.

Robert L .Tabb

Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Tabb has served as Orion Group Holdings Vice President Finance since November 2016. Mr. Tabb has over 12 years of public company accounting and financial management experience and has overseen the Company’s financial planning and analysis function since 2014.  Prior to his current role, Mr. Tabb served as the Company’s Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior to joining Orion, Mr. Tabb held progressively responsible positions in accounting, finance, and M&A with Mattress Firm, Inc., MXenergy, Inc., and J. Richard Claywell, CPA. 

Peter R. Buchler

Peter R. Buchler

Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Buchler joined the Company as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in September 2009. Soon thereafter, he was also appointed as Chief Compliance Officer and on January 1, 2010 was promoted to Executive Vice President. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Buchler founded and operated The Buchler Group, LLC, a corporate consulting firm providing contract negotiation, dispute resolution, compliance and other corporate advisory services to the domestic and international construction industry. From December 2003 to December 2008, Mr. Buchler worked for Global Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ: GLBL) in various capacities, including Assistant General Counsel, Vice President Commercial and Subcontracts, and Vice President of Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Global, Mr. Buchler worked for Cooperheat-MQS, Inc. as Executive Vice President, CAO, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Additionally, Mr. Buchler has held several positions with McDermott International, Inc. (NYSE: MDR) over a 23-year period including Senior Counsel, Assistant General Counsel for Corporate, and Assistant General Counsel for Shipbuilding, Industrial Services and the Marine Construction segments. Mr. Buchler has also been an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell, New York, NY and is a former NYSE arbitrator.

Bob Bacon

Bob Bacon

Executive Vice President, TAS Commercial Concrete Construction, LLC

Mr. Bacon has served as TAS’ Executive Vice President since 2003 and originally joined the Company in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer. He served as President of Groth Corporation from 1991 through 1999 and as Chief Financial Officer of Beta Supply from 1978 through 1991. Mr. Bacon is member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), currently serves on the Associated General Contractors (AGC) Southwest Chapter’s 401(k) Plan Advisory Board and has previously served on the Houston AGC Board of Directors. Mr. Bacon is a Certified Public Accountant.

Jack Brooks

Executive Vice President, Orion Industrial Construction, LLC

Mr. Brooks joined Orion Group Holdings in 2018. He has over 32 years of experience in industry. After beginning his career in plant operations with Exxon Chemical he moved to the E&C industry with Fluor. He has held progressively responsible positions in industrial construction business unit management, EPC project management, business development, and process engineering. Prior assignments have included roles as Executive Vice President for Oil & Gas with Lauren E&C, and President, Heavy Industrial, for The Weitz Companies.

Marshall R. DeLuca

Vice President, Corporate Business Development

Mr. DeLuca has held the position of Vice President of Corporate Business Development since October 2016 with responsibility for the leadership and coordination of the Company’s Business Development activities across the various sectors. Mr. DeLuca has over 20 years of project and business development experience in the marine, industrial and oil and gas sectors.

Jenifer W. Lake

Vice President, Human Resources

Ms. Lake joined the Company in April 2016 with the responsibility of leading strategic Human Resources initiatives across all segments. Prior to joining Orion, Ms. Lake held progressively responsible leadership positions with Target Corporation and The Home Depot, Inc. Ms. Lake is a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional.

Eric S. Hatfield

Eric S. Hatfield

Director of Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental

Mr. Hatfield has served as Orion’s Director of HSE since October 2017. Mr. Hatfield has over 20 years of experience in complex occupational and environmental, safety and health roles both domestically and internationally. Mr. Hatfield holds several professional certifications with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). Prior to joining Orion, Mr. Hatfield held progressively responsible HSE positions with Bechtel, WorleyParsons and Fluor.
