Future Growth & Partnerships

Orion undertook a pivotal role on the Freeport Bend Easing contract in collaboration with Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company (GLDD) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Freeport, Texas. Our scope encompassed diverse tasks, including the excavation of approximately 30,000 cubic yards of material to create a pilot cut channel for GLDD's dredging operations. Additionally, we were responsible for placing 16,000 square yards of geotextile fabric and installing 17,000 tons of granite riprap for slope armoring.

Facing significant material supply challenges before construction, our experienced team addressed the issue head-on. Despite the delays, we successfully completed the work on schedule with no negative impacts on the client. Throughout the project, we not only fulfilled our contractual obligations but also built a strong relationship with GLDD. This collaboration sets the stage for future partnerships, and we are excited about contributing to the continued growth and success of our endeavors.
